The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality inventory is based upon the work of C.G. Jung. The theory is based on the assumption that seemingly random variation in behavior is actually orderly, and is based on fundamental differences in the ways that individuals practice their perception and judgment.

The MBTI tool detects preferences in one’s behavior. It does not measure abilities, skills, traits or character. The MBTI is both valid and reliable and has been subject to hundreds of studies over the past 40 years that have proven its credibility.
