With a re-organization on the horizon, a mid-sized pharmaceutical company knew that their human resources would soon be impacted. blūm was hired to assist with strategic resource planning of the sales operations functions. This planning was designed to proactively and thoughtfully ensure that operations could and would continue to operate smoothly as a result of the re-organization.
blūm analyzed current roles and business functions, identified factors both internally and externally that could impact the workforce capacity, and conducted a gap analysis. With a sophisticated understanding of these factors, blūm made recommendations to the sales operations staff regarding re-alignment of specific job functions in order to optimize the projected human resources available. The exercise was enlightening for the staff members as it identified areas of strength within the organization but also exposed vulnerabilities that required attention.
